Madeira hiking map
Every classified route on the IFCN table updated on 2 October 2026, read here on 12 October 2026. Walking time and elevation are omitted when that table does not list them. Walks that are not on the list are in unknown trails. Distances there reflect on-site GPS recordings and regional walking surveys.
Lines join the named ends. They are not a surveyed track.

How to use the classified segment map
Each line on the map represents a verified segment between official IFCN trailhead endpoints. Solid green segments are open in both directions, amber segments indicate one-way traffic rules (such as the west tunnel line from Pedra Rija to Pico Ruivo on PR 1 or the canal approach on PR 6), and dashed red segments mark sections that are closed on the official table.
Clicking any segment highlights connected classified PR routes in the same mountain or levada corridor — such as the Rabaçal cluster (PR 6, PR 6.1, PR 6.2, PR 6.3), the Fanal and northwest corridor (PR 13, PR 14, PR 15), or the Ribeiro Frio hub (PR 10, PR 11) — so you can quickly switch to an open neighbour if cloud or partial gates change your plan.
